Balance Board

Summer is finally here and I'll do anything to keep my kids busy outside so today I'm sharing this diy balance board made from scrap wood.  I can't take full credit for this project, I found my inspiration here, but I did write up plans for my version below.

• any type of wood is allowed
• lumber is limited to the single board but you can add glue, paint, hardware for embellishment

K is for Kids Cubby Organizer One Board Project

We have seven birthday parties next week during the last week of school.  Yes seven.  Instead of running to the store to buy more plastic toys wrapped in plastic I pillaged my scrap wood pile and built a kids cubby organizer.

This is a one board project meaning you could build this organizer from one (1x4) eight foot board which costs about $5.  Or you could use scrap wood and then it's a free project.

Two down, five to go!

I'm sharing the free plans down below including materials, cut list and step by step instructions.

Wood Leather Shopping List Board

"Add it to the shopping list."

I heard myself saying this repeatedly to my kids this summer.  To which they would respond, 

"But where is the shopping list?"

and then I would have to give detailed instructions such as on the counter next to the tissue box or some other guided information.  By the time I was done explaining where the shopping list was they would have forgotten what they wanted to add to the list.  And then they would get mad at me for not buying said item at the store when it wasn't even on the list to begin with.

I'm finally got off this merry-go-round by making a wood and leather shopping list board with a paper roll.  It's perfectly placed smack between the refrigerator and pantry and hung low enough so all my kids can reach it.
